May 5, 2016 By Found Valencia International Real Estate

Paella is the most famous dish of Valencian cuisine and probably from Spain too. So, from Found Valencia we want to share with you the origin of our most famous paella dish.
The origin of the word paella: If we seek the origin of the word paella, we find that, the word comes from the Latin patella, a diminutive of patina.
Definition of paella: The metal container, low height, which is used for cooking. In Valencia it is used synonymously of pan. Therefore, all derivatives of the rice cooked at paella pan are called “rice of paella. As well comes the common name in the world of this dish “ Paella”.
The origin of this valencian dish comes from the union of the typical products of the Valencian orchard. Furthermore, it was customary to join chickens and rtasteabbits for family use. if at these ingredients we add the abundance of rice grown in the Albufera, we will get this very Valencian dish named ” paella.
1-Paella valenciana is a composite of rice, chicken, rabbit, snails and vegetable stock, including not miss the garrofó, a type of self beans Valencia.
Valencia is plenty of places to eat good rice, so i want to share with you my favorite places to eat paella valenciana in Valencia:

Also you can visit Malvarrosa beach.La Marina Real is located in the heart of Valencia. You can find La Marina Real at the north of the commercial port and along the beach Malvarrosa ,where are numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs. There you can visit the Veles e Vents, a building in minimalist style with a surface area of ten thousand square meters, consisting of horizontal platforms that create shade for the terraces where people can see the beautiful view of America’s Cup port.-La pepica restaurant, close to malvarrosa beach you can taste typical paella valencia.how to cook a paella.

2-Seafood Paella
The seafood paella is also a classic dish in the typical Valencian cuisine. The seafood is another product that can be found in abundance in the Valencian community.
Why could not miss seafood as an ingredient in the paella? The result is a sublime combination of flavors with Mediterranean identity.
My favorite places to eat seafood paella are: -Civera and Casa Robertohow to cook a paella.

After lunch and enjoy a good sea food paella, you can visit Valencia down town. The cathedral of Valencia is an unic Cathedral, each of the three gates has a diferent style: the Irons Gate is Baroque, the Apostles Gate is Gothic and the Palace Gate is Romanesque. Here you can see the most popular monument in Valencia, The bell tower called El Miguelete, where you can enjoy amazing views. And the Plaza de la Virgen sits on the site that once was the Roman forum.
3-Arroz a banda
The Arroz a banda is a typical dish sailor. This rice was cooked with the leftover fish from the sale of auction, later the fish was baked with potatoes and onions. Cooking the rice with the resulting broth and accompany with the fish its called: rice “a banda” or rice “apart”. Typically present at the table accompanied by garlic oil. My favorite place to eat Arroz a banda is: -Pinedo-Canyes Restaurant and -Saler-
After lunch and enjoy a good arroz a banda you can enjoy your visit with el Saler beach and pinedo beach. After lunch and enjoy this typical black rice in Cullera, you can visit the city, that is located at 38 km from Valencia, On the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The city of Cullera enjoys a dry thermo Mediterranean climate, with gentle temperatures. The Mountain of Cullera rises up above the city at 220 m high.. Cullera is the perfect destination for fun and leisure. The city offers to their visitors two different tourist train, one for visiting the Castle and another one to visit the Cave of Pirate Dragut, located in the hamlet of Faro.
5-Paella duck with vegetables
Another typical combination within the paella is the mixture of duck with vegetables. Typical products of the Valencian lagoon called Albufera. As we have said on other occasions, the Albufera of Valencia is one of the landmarks of valencia. If you decide to visit this nature reserve of valence, we suggest you, to try this delicious paella. Here you have two places to eat typical Valencian dish: Establiment and Nou racóhow to cook a paella.
Those restaurants are ubicated in one of the loveliest areas in Valencia, right in the heart of the Albufera Nature Reserve. After eating a paella you can go along the lagoon on boat trips, having a drink while watching sundown or enjoying a cocktail at one of the restaurant gardens.
In Valencia there are many types of rice such as arroz al horno, rice with fessols and naps, and a wide range of soupy rice with eel, crab or lobster. We can not forget about typical Gandia dish called fideua that is worth to try. Without any doubt the valencians’ kitchen is delicious, rich and varied.
