5 days in Valencia
Why not take a well deserved city break this year and spend 5 days in Valencia?From Found Valencia we present this plan to discover the charms of the city just in five days.
Arrival and accommodation at the hotel.
1-Take a city map in the hotel or at Info tourist center.
2-Take a walkaround the town and visit: Plaza del Ayuntamiento Plaza del North Station and the Bullring in calle Játiva.
Follow the street Colon is the most important shopping street and visit the Mercado de Colón, there you can taste Fartons and Horchata, typical valencian drink.
Back down the street Don Juan de Austria you will find one of our favourites bars in Valencia, Casa Mundo (10/15 €), you can eat a typical bocadillo de calamares or patatas bravas
If you want nightlife :
Dinner in the Marinal Real (americas cup port) 22:00 / 23:00
High Cube cups (Puerto, from 01.30).
Go and return by taxi ( take a taxi is very cheap:6 € night and € 4 for the day)
In the Morning you can visit the Central Market, afternoons and Sunday is closed, there you will see typical Valencian products, and visit Lonja de la Seda it is just in front of Central Market
Visit the neighbourhood – Barrio del Carmen-. Important sites in the area include the plaza redonda, Cathedral and Miguelete, Palace of the Generalitat, the IVAM (Modern Art museum), El Carmen and Almudín Center.
The main street of the area is Calle Caballeros, the end of it, in the Plaza del Tosal is a bar called
Pilareta. (ideal for taste clochinas, and tapas)
You can visit Torres de Serrano, Torres de Quart and the Museum of Fine Arts.
At dinner you can go to a restaurant called Vuelve Carolina (€ 20/30) street correos n 8, this bar is owned by a famous Valencian chef with two Michelin stars.
If you like to have drinks you can go to Upper ,Twelve Club Gin Club in Canovas / Gran Via.
Spectacular and nearest nightclub is Umbracle / Mya (from 1.30 to 7.00). Go and return by taxi.
Hire a bike and tour the Turia, paradise runner, go to Malvarrosa Beach and the Port America’s Cup
for lunch Paella at La Marcelina in Paseo Neptuno (near the port) or House Patacona (Alboraya Beach)
Dinner, drinks and atmosphere in the Plaza del Negrito.
Visit the City of Sciences and Oceanographic.
Not worth entering the museum, although sometimes they have interesting temporary exhibitions. Only in areas free.
The Oceanographic is very interesting take 3 hours. Consult timetables.Lunch time: on the Paseo Alameda (opposite)
For dinner, snacks and sandwiches and croquetas, bar tamesis. Avenida del Puerto 54.
Rent a Car or bike (29 €) to go to the beach of the Saler and Albufera 10 km away from Valencia.
You can also go on the bus turístic.We recommend taking a boat ride on the Albufera.
All beach restaurants are good. I recommend La Dehesa
